Blooming Hill hosted an exclusive roundtable for female CFOs and Finance Directors. An afternoon of substance, connection and inspiration — and a confirmation of how powerful it is when finance leaders take the space to speak with one another.
The motivation
We observe in our network that while the number of women at CFO level is growing, it is still not proportionate to the available talent. The reasons are complex: unconscious bias in selection processes, a lack of role models and a culture in certain sectors that is less welcoming to female leaders. We wanted to create a space where those themes could be discussed openly — by the women themselves.
What was discussed
Twelve finance leaders came together for an afternoon that was both substantive and personal. Topics such as boardroom dynamics, negotiating terms and conditions, combining leadership with personal life, and the question of how women can build visibility within an organisation were discussed at length. The conversations were open, direct and at times surprisingly candid.
What it produced
Participants left the event not only with new insights, but also with new contacts. Several attendees noted afterwards that they rarely have the space in such conversations to speak so openly. That is precisely what Blooming Hill had in mind: not networking for networking's sake, but genuine connection between professionals who share comparable challenges.
The next edition of the CFO Roundtable for Women Leaders in Finance is planned for autumn 2026. Would you like to be on the invitation list? Get in touch via info@bloominghill.nl.
